Snow Days

Returned to the net today after an extended visit to Utah for a family ski vacation. I was coaxed into a “first time on skis” lesson at Alta and was surprised to find that I really enjoyed it. I originally thought it would be embarassing as a “newbie” in front of the world-class skiers you see at places like Alta and Solitude, but it really wasn’t. In fact, a site like Alta is a great place to begin—if you’re on a mountain that gets 500+ inches of snow per season, you’re less likely to bruise as you bounce down it.
