I’m not sure why I get this newsletter in my email from time to time, but it’s always an interesting read. Some might call it quirky—and the writing style and layout seem inspired by ransom notes—but it offers a perspective on digital preservation that I find useful. Informative and (perhaps unintentionally) entertaining, you will encounter other odd bits of IT flotsam here as well. For example, near the end of the latest issue, there’s a digression on the the interrobang (‽) character (see “A Character You Need (but did not know to ask for)).”

DDQ is the work of Henry Gladney of HMG Consulting, Saratoga, California.
