I don’t think I’ll try to figure out a way to get one of the new dual-core Mac laptops until at least Rev B or C, but still it looks like a big improvement (if you can believe Apple’s SPEC ratings/benchmarks). One thing I can’t seem to find anywhere in the flurry of PR that accompanied the launch today is the battery life of these units.
I do see that the power supply is 85 watts (the powerbook I’m using for this post has a 65 watt supply) so it must need more juice to run. The battery lists a 60 watt hours capacity while the now “obsolete” G4 powerbooks weigh in at 50 watt hours.
